It’s comfortable, stylish, well-constructed, offers tons of adjustability, and is great if you need a powerhouse of a chair to fit your frame. However, there’s a major downside to the Mavix M9: It costs $999.
This is no small price to pay, even though the chair itself is well worth it. For context, other chairs in this list cost between $379 to $549. But if you’re willing to spend nearly double what you would on the other products we’ve curated, you won’t regret it. The Mavix M9 features especially fantastic lumbar support, which auto-adjusts to accommodate your lower back. Our reviewer compared it to a supportive best friend who does their job so well you won’t even notice them.

The AndaSeat T-Pro 2 Series is a great gaming chair for those who need solid back support without spending a fortune. It’ll still cost you $549, but it’s nowhere near as expensive as the Mavix M9. And it comes with plenty of alluring features, including a soft fabric cloth seat and velour cushions, giving the exterior a more plush feel that prevents you from sticking to it when you're sitting through long gaming sessions. It also has armrests that can adjust in all four directions, giving you the opportunity to get the perfect arm comfort.
Keep in mind, this chair is not ideal for shorter people. It supports a maximum height of 6'11" and a maximum dynamic load of 330 pounds. It’s built for larger frames, so if you don’t fall under this category, it might not be the best choice.

Best for shorter people
Finding a great gaming chair is tricky when you're under 5'6", but luckily there's the Noblechairs Epic Compact. This is one of the highest quality gaming chairs out there and it's designed specifically for short people. The seat height goes down low enough for someone 5'0" tall or under to sit with their feet flat on the floor. The adjustable seat depth feature further improves height accessibility, even if it sacrifices a reclining feature.
Everything about the Epic Compact is scaled slightly down so shorter folks don't look like they're sitting in an oversized chair. Don't let the small size fool you, though. This isn't a cheap "kids chair". It's made with premium materials throughout, including a steel frame and comfy, sustainable PU leather.
While the Epic Compact certainly comes at a premium price, it's the chair to beat for all the short gamers out there.

The Secretlab Titan Evo is one of the most popular gaming chairs and for good reason. It features the classic racer design but with a ton of customization options, three different sizes, and some cool magnetic accessories.
You can choose from three different types of fabric and dozens of fabric designs, although some options will significantly increase the price. You can also swap out the armrests for a variety of different materials and colors. Plus, the Titan Evo includes a cool magnetic memory foam headrest.
All that customization doesn't come cheap, but the Titan Evo is made with comfy, premium materials that help justify it's $519+ price. However, it's worth noting that even the "Small" size is not ideal for anyone under 5'3". Also, the adjustable lumbar support system, while cool, can be confusing at first.

Best budget gaming chair
If you need a gaming chair to encompass a height on the smaller side, the AndaSeat Jungle 2 should be more than enough to accomodate. As long as you're shorter than 5'11", this should be the perfect size for you. It can hold up to 330 pounds and has a built-in footrest for those looking to sit back and relax. However, the footrest is a bit too small to reach maximum comfort, although it's still better than nothing.
It's also the most affordable gaming chair on this list for $300. Our reviewer noted that the chair provided a perspiration free comfort experience, which is unlike other AndaSeat products they've tested in the past. But our reviewer does caution that if you're taller than six feet, you should look elsewhere. And although it may not seem like a big deal, this chair is only available in black.

How to choose the best gaming chair for you
The best gaming chairs come in a variety of price points, aesthetics and build materials. If you want the most comfortable chair on this list with the highest quality construction, we recommend the mighty Mavix M9. It boasts excellent lumbar support that automatically adjusts to your needs, and feels sturdy enough to keep most spines in line. However, the $999 price tag will be a bit much for most.

If you’d rather swap the softweave fabric for PU leather, the Secretlab Titan Evo is a great pick. It offers tons of adjustability, feels comfortable all day, and can be customized with plenty of nerdy designs. While the Titan Evo does have a Small size, the best option for gamers who are 5'3" or under is the Noblechairs Epic Compact, which features a shorter minimum seat height and adjustable seat depth, all in an equally premium package that costs less than the Titan Evo.
